Occasionally events in the real world have a profound enough effect to send ripples through the Internet. This is not necessarily something as simple as a network going down, although that can definitely have a dramatic effect as well. This page is dedicated to these kinds of events, and includes the graphs from the given day along with a brief description of what happened.
